You never know how hotel rates can be so crazy and all over the place until you start looking. I finally found a rate for my stay in Miami at the Fontainebleau in Miami Beach. It's about $282 though TravelPony, which is a great deal when I compare it with some of the other rates.

The Look
Guest room design maintains the relaxed atmosphere of a beach house with the decadence of a fine hotel. Rooms are well-lit, spacious, and furnished with flat screen TVs, drawers for clothing, and modern chairs and light fixtures. Darker carpeting mixes well with the light-color scheme, and natural light adds to each room's beauty. The hotel's night club, lobby, bars, lounges, and many restaurants cover a range of over the top looks and feels.
Bed & Bath
With white linens and many pillows, beds are clean, comfortable, and sure to provide a good nights sleep. The spacious bathrooms hold a single sink, complimentary toiletries, and a separate shower and bath.
Beyond
While defined as a hotel, visitors could treat the Fontainebleau as a self-contained resort. Guests can use the hotel's beachfront access to take a swim in the ocean or relax in one of six pools. For dining, the hotel boasts four signature restaurants with an additional four snack spots and casual dining areas. Guests can unwind after a long day of swimming, lounging, and eating with a massage at the hotel's extensive spa. At night, the Fontainebleau comes alive with activity in its four bars, lounges, and LIV night club.
