Originally, the Monon Rail trail was built for railway transportation but is now a recreational center. With a total length of 26 miles of asphalt, you can have a lot of fun here walking, cycling, and skiing.

Cycling is the most popular activity on the Rail Trail. You can also visit the rail trail with your dog, walking your pet around the rail trail, albeit on a leash.

There are about ten access points to the Rail trail, so you don’t have to cycle across the entire 26 miles. If you come to Indianapolis, make sure to have some outdoor fun here. It could also serve as a spot for an outdoor workout.
